It's #nationaleducationweek and a perfect time to recognize our Education Support Professionals without whom we simply could not function! They are often the first and last staff member our kids encounter each day and throughout they fulfill numerous roles that help make BPS the best place to teach and learn! National ESP Appreciation Day is this Wednesday and we hope you'll join us as we share our gratitude for our #spartansupportstaff throughout the week! Our first "thank you" goes to to Sherry Willis, Becky Berkenbile, and Kym Clark from the 9GC!

Not only does this video showcase many of the reasons BPS is such a special place, but it was also beautifully produced by one of our own, Dillon Callaway, a junior at BHS! Bixby XC, we are proud of your dedication and character!

It’s the second Thursday of the month and time for another Bixby Board of Education Meeting! We had much to recognize this month! Our Community Partner Award went to the Tristesse Grief Center for their incredible support during this difficult time for our Spartan family. Penny Harvill Rogers was recognized for her dedication throughout the BOC/United Way Drive. And finally, the Spartan Coin of Excellence honor was presented to our record six National Merit Semifinalists as well as Ms. Tiffany McGrew for being a awarded at the state level for her excellence as a MS Choir Director. We’d also like to thank Henley and Landry for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Spartans, if you happen to see Lexi today, give her a CONGRATS!! She was accepted into the Organization of American Kodály Educators NATIONAL Concert Treble Choir. Thousands of students from across the country participate in a grueling audition process to be considered. As a member of the choir, Lexi will travel to Portland next March to work with an incredible conductor and sing in this amazing ensemble. Way to go, Lexi!

BPS was well represented today at the NSU Fall Job Fair! It was a wonderful event and we enjoyed meeting so many aspiring educators interested in becoming a Spartan! The future of Oklahoma's public schools is BRIGHT!
