Mr. Gerald Davenport will be the Honorary Marshal of tonight’s Senior Parade immediately following Officer Kendrick. Mr. Davenport is retiring this year after 6 years of teaching at BHS. He has built the AP Physics classes from under 10 to over 100 students in these 6 years. He was an attorney in Texas for 30 years prior to teaching. Honored as the 2018-2019 BHS Teacher of the Year, he’s an amazing educator who builds strong relationships with students and guides them to success. He has changed the lives of countless students by building their confidence and inspiring them to greatness.
We hope to see you tonight, Spartans! Please review the route, map, and guidelines and make sure you’re observing social distancing protocols. If you are tuning in via FB Live, you will want to visit the Bixby High School page at 6:30 PM!

All this time we thought Chemistry and Physics were high school courses... ...not if Mrs. Sumler is your first grade teacher! Her students at Central Elementary, did an experiment to observe how ice melts differently in salt water versus fresh water. Piper learned that ice melts very quickly in salt water! Great job, Piper!

Mrs. Kidd has challenged her 5th grade students to find an interesting place to read their book and then share a short summary! Where is your favorite place to curl up with a good book?

Spartans, as you well know, these unprecedented times have forced many of our regular procedures to be amended to ensure the health and safety of our school community. This includes, of course, tryouts for sports. Please see the link below for more information. We will continue to update this news story as more information becomes available.

Spartans, don't forget, BPS is serving Grab & Go Meals for breakfast and lunch! Pick up is available daily from 8AM-11AM at the 9th Grade Center and the YMCA. Also, if you have automatic monthly payments set up via My School Bucks, you may want to "freeze" those for now. :)

Tonight the Bixby Board of Education conducted their first regular monthly meeting via video conference. Visit our YouTube channel to view the meeting in its entirety here: https://youtu.be/cm_HBArfC0k.

Have a great weekend, Spartans!

We made it, Spartans...to FRIYAY, that is! Also, through the launch of a BPS Distance Learning Plan (words we never thought we'd utter)!
BPS has now added all PK-8 Weekly Learning Menus to our Distance Learning Hub at bixbyps.info/distancelearning! We are excited to share these simple, meaningful plans with our PK-8 families!
