There are not quite enough positive attributes to describe this phenomenal group of ladies in this picture! From greeting students first thing in the morning, helping in the PK/K classrooms all day, supervising lunch and recess, fixing every ouchie that comes along, to running car line in the afternoon these ladies DO IT ALL.
Ms. Whittington, Mrs. Nichols, Ms. Morgan, Mrs. Head, and Mrs. Ryan: we are so immensely grateful for each of you! We COULD NOT do it without you!

Joining the West Elementary family this year as an Instructional Coach is Mrs. Megan Hill! Megan has been a part of Bixby Public Schools throughout her entire teaching career.
This will be Megan's first year as an Instructional Coach and her 8th year in education. Mrs. Hill spent the last 7 years teaching 1st Grade at East Elementary.
Mrs. Hill has been married to her high school sweetheart, CJ, for 6 years. They love traveling to new places, going to the lake, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on our OSU Cowboys! GO POKES! Mrs. Hill is looking forward to the new school year and joining the West family! It's always a great day to be a Spartan! ❤💙

Next up is the addition of our fabulous part time counselor, Mrs. Kacy Katibeh! Kacy will split her time between West Elementary and Central Elementary this year.
Mrs. Katibeh has lived in the Tulsa area her whole life, and about two years ago, her family relocated here, to Bixby! Kacy is a Jenks graduate and after completing her degree in elementary education, she returned there to teach. Mrs. Katibeh spent five years as a pre-k teacher and during that time, she completed her master’s degree in school counseling. Kacy continued her stay at Jenks, working as a school counselor with intermediate grade students for the last six years. During that time, Mrs. Katibeh went back to school and became certified as a school administrator. After eleven wonderful years at Jenks, we are thrilled to have added her to the Spartan family. Mrs. Katibeh is beyond thrilled to return to her roots as an elementary educator, because the littles truly have her heart.
Kacy has four children, three girls and then, finally, a little boy and they absolutely keep Kacy and her husband busy! Mrs. Katibeh is almost always at a game or heading to a practice, but she loves it! Her favorite thing to do for herself is to cook.
Mrs. Katibeh promises to do the very best for each of your children, every day. If she can be of any assistance to you, your child, or your family, please never hesitate to reach out.

Also new to the Kindergarten team is Mrs. Melissa Still!
Mrs. Still is thrilled to teach kindergarten at Bixby West! She previously taught PreK in Jenks for 10 years and is passionate about early childhood education. Melissa has been married to her husband, Fontaine, for 20 years and they have 2 children. Dru will be starting his sophomore year at Brown University in the fall and their daughter, Eva, will be a junior at Metro Christian Academy.
On the weekends you can find the Still Family cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks or attending a volleyball tournament for their daughter. Melissa is so excited to meet everyone; it's going to be a fantastic year!
Mrs. Still joins the most incredible kindergarten team including Mrs. Sloat, Mrs. Scully, Mrs. Coupe, Mrs. Sumler and Ms. Abbott! It's going to be the BEST year in kindergarten!
Up next for our introductions is another 2nd Grade teacher, Mrs. My Sherrie Fritz! 🥳
Mrs. Fritz is excited to be joining West! This will be her 19th year to teach. Mrs. Fritz loves watching students gain self confidence and master skills they didn’t think they could. Hearing how a former student is doing it is the biggest joy for her. 😍
Sherrie is married to Steven. They have one daughter, Mackenzie, who is 7 and one fur baby, Macie, that is 11. They are both spoiled! The Fritz family bleeds orange and can be found at OSU football games during the fall. When they are not cheering on the Pokes they are usually at Mackenzie’s activities.
Mrs. Fritz is looking forward to getting to know everybody in the West community. It’s going to be a fabulous year!
