In Mrs. Rickelman’s 6th grade math class, students did a fun math project turning fractions into decimals and then percents. We love seeing these awesome activities!!

Students had a GREAT time at our Tailgate Celebration earlier this month! Many are already talking about making their next reading goal. Check out our new bulletin board display outside the Library! (Some have said they are already halfway to their new goal!!!)
Next Reading Goal Cutoff is Friday, Dec. 13th!
Parties will be the week of Dec. 16-20 (each grade level will have their own time)

Miss Tally's 4th grade class recently embarked on an exciting hands-on experiment to explore the concept of the force of attraction using magnets. The students were eager to understand how magnets work, especially how they can attract or repel objects without touching them. To do this, they used a combination of balance scales, cups, magnets, washers, and blockers.
The experiment began with each student setting up a balance scale, a simple tool to measure force. The students then attached one cup with a magnet and put another empty cup on the other side. Students added washers until the cup with the magnet broke its force.
One of the most interesting parts of the experiment was using blockers—materials placed between the magnet and the object to see how different weights affected the force of attraction. They continued with the experiment using first one blocker and then continued until the were using six blockers.
Through this hands-on approach, Miss Tally’s students not only learned about the scientific principles of magnetism but also developed a deeper understanding of how invisible forces can influence the physical world around us. The experiment encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and a lot of curiosity, making science both fun and educational for the young learners.
