Check out Mrs. Burkholder's science students dissecting chicken feet to learn about how tendons, muscles, and bones work together to enable movement. Students manipulated tendons on the ventral and dorsal side of the feet to see the difference between flexion and extension. 🐓

Ms. Jones’s class worked in building simple circuits using a few components— a wire, lightbulb, and a battery!— some of our curious young scientists even took it a step further to explore parallel and series circuits!

In Mrs. Burkholder's 6th grade class, students created “paper bones” that were circular, triangular, and square to determine which shape is the most supportive. They discussed how this supports the scientific concept of structure and function being directly related.
