Chromebook Paperwork Reminder- Your children will be receiving a school issued Chromebook this year. Distribution details/directions will be sent out on August 1st. If you want a sport that will help you get more than a medal, cross country is the one to choose. Why else should you join Bixby cross country? What If I can't run far or keep up? No one is born a distance runner - we gradually will Introduce running to you so It Is manageable and enjoyable.
When are tryouts?
August 3rd, 7:30 am at Bixby High School Track.
When are Middle School practices?
Official Summer practice begin after tryouts. Once school begins, BMS will practice 7:45-9 am at the High School then take the bus to Middle School.
Can I start practicing early?
Of course! I encourage you to start running a little every day to ease in to it.
Can I play another sport while in Cross Country?
While select athletes have pulled it off in the past, competing in two sports in the same season brings potential issues & risks. Two full sport workloads,
decreased rest and recovery, less time for school work & not consuming
enough calories are just a few reasons why. Not to mention injuries, missed games, missed practices, missed meetings, etc. that are sure to arise when
one competes in two sports with overlapping seasons. For these reasons, we feel that committing to multiple sports during the same season is not best for
the athlete or our team. Who should I (or my parents) contact if I have questions?

Don't forget, Grab & Go Meals are still available through Friday, May 15th! Families can pick up meals daily at the 9th Grade Center or the YMCA from 8 AM - 11 AM.
