One teacher made the code on her daughter's iPad her lunch number...guess how quickly she memorized it?! This is yet another way to make our cafeteria run smoother. 2nd and 3rd start by knowing their numbers. 1st grade should be by fall break and kindergarten by 2nd semester.
Your kiddos have plenty of time to eat but one way to help increase the time is to practice opening items! Fruit cups, yogurts, packets of things, milk boxes, lunchables, and cosmic brownies seem the most difficult! IYKYK

School kicks off at 7:50, don't be late, Doors open at 7:30, let's not tempt fate!
For our K-3 champs, the bell rings at 2:55, Pre-K friends, it's 1:55, that's the jive.
Car line's a dance, so don't step in too soon, No lining up before 2:30, or you'll be under the moon!
Transportation tags on backpacks, a must, No mix-ups or confusion, let's build that trust. Changes in plans, let the teacher know, And the office too, so the info can flow.
Names on everything, from backpack to snack, Coats, lunch boxes, and water bottles, keep track.
Healthy kiddos, that's our goal and plea, Attendance matters, as you'll surely agree.
If your child's away, a little under the weather, Call Mrs. Chittenden, don't let it linger.
So here's to a year of laughter and learning, Let's make it fantastic, there's no room for yearning!
