BHS Parents!
As part of our ongoing commitment to stop the use of nicotine products by our students, including e- cigarettes, we have partnered with Operation Aware to host the "Knockout Nicotine" program for our students caught using these products on BHS properties and would also like to extend this opportunity to our entire student body should parents have concerns about their student vaping outside of school. This coming Tuesday, October 8th, 2019, we will host a parent information night from 5:15- 5:45 pm in the BHS Library to share this exciting program. You can read more about Operation Aware at the website https://www.operationaware.org
Contact your student's school administrator for more information on how to get your student signed up for a class.
BHS leadership students started "kindness clips" at the middle school today. The idea is to put a clip on someone's backpack. When that person finds it, they pass it on. Hopefully spreading a little happiness in the process. #bhsbecomingalegacy

Seniors & Senior Parents -
Are you looking for money to pay for college or career tech? It is now time to begin applying for federal financial aid through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The application opens Oct. 1st. Some aid opportunities are time sensitive, so the earlier you apply the better. Federal grants are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students planning to participate in the TCC Tulsa Achieves and/or Tulsa Tech Achieving Independence scholarship programs MUST complete the FAFSA as part of their applications to those programs. The following is a link to the flyer on how to apply and what students & parents need to complete the application. https://5il.co/aksl
