Bixby AP Students and Families: It is time to register and pay for all AP exams that will be administered this year at Bixby High School. The College Board registration process requests that all students register and pay for their exams before Thursday, November 12th at 10:00 am. If the registration is not paid and completed by 10:00 am on Thursday, November 12th, the College Board will charge a $40.00 late fee payment for each exam. Students must register on BOTH the College Board site (https://account.collegeboard.org) as well as at BixbyMySchoolBucks. Payment is required through the Bixby MySchoolBucks site (http://bit.ly/BHSMySchoolBucks). Please note that any late registrations that are not paid by 9:55 AM, Thursday, March 11,2021 will be canceled and exams will not be ordered. Seniors & Senior Parents - Are you looking for money to pay for college or career tech? Apply now for federal financial aid through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The application opens Oct. 1st. Some aid opportunities are time sensitive, so the earlier you apply the better. Federal grants are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students planning to participate in the TCC Tulsa Achieves and/or Tulsa Tech scholarship programs MUST complete the FAFSA as part of their applications to those programs. Many colleges and private scholarships require the FAFSA to be completed before a student will be considered for their grants and/or scholarships.  The following is a link to a flyer on how to apply and what students & parents need to complete the application. https://5il.co/aksl

ImpactTulsa is excited to be teaming up with all Tulsa-area school districts and post-secondary institutions to host virtual FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) events. Students must complete the FAFSA to qualify for aid like grants, scholarships, and federal student loans. The window to complete the FAFSA is October 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021. File early for the best chance of getting more financial aid. Parents and students are invited to attend any of these online meetings to learn more about how to complete each step of the FAFSA and have specific questions answered by financial aid experts. Congratulations to Bixby High School Senior Aubrey McNiel, who has been named a 2021 National Merit Semifinalist. Aubrey will now compete to be named a National Merit Finalist in the spring. Aubrey received this recognition by being recognized as one of the top 16,000 students among the 1.5 million high school juniors who participated in the preliminary SAT/ National Merit Qualifying Exam (PSAT). Bixby High School is very proud of this outstanding student!

Update Regarding ACT & Masks: Beginning with the September 2020 ACT® exam, ACT is requiring all examinees to bring and wear masks or cloth face covering to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. They will not be able to enter the test center if they do not have a mask.
