Good afternoon, CI families! I want to send out the information for ColorFest. Here's what you need to know:
ColorFest is this Friday, 9/23
Here's the schedule:
* 4th Grade: 11:15-12:15
* 5th Grade: 10:00-11:00
* 6th Grade: 12:30-1:30
Parents are welcome to join us! Bring your driver's license or photo ID to the office to check in. You'll get a visitor's badge, and you'll be ready to join the fun!
We will start with a short ColorRun, followed by some free time with inflatables, face painting, sidewalk chalk, popsicles, music, concessions, and more!
We will sell concessions, so students may want to bring money. All items will be $1. We'll have the usual stuff, like popcorn, pickles, candy, chips, drinks, etc. You know, all the healthy food kids love :)
We're looking forward to a great day of color and fun! Thank you so much for supporting OUR school. It's a great day to be a Spartan!

Spartans, we are having a wonderful first week! Just a reminder, tomorrow 8/19 is NOT an early release day. Early release will begin on Friday, 8/26.
The back-to-school excitement is building and tomorrow is our FIRST DAY!
To celebrate the first day of school, BPS encourages parents, students, teachers and staff to use the hashtag #okfirstday and tag us @ Bixby Public Schools so we can share in your back-to-school excitement!

CI families, you do not need to register your transportation tags for your kids. We have already taken care of that. You just need to have them hanging in your car when school starts. Thanks!
Lynn Purdie will be teaching Title 1 Math this year. She is a fantastic support to our students and staff, and we're thankful she's a part of our team!

Jamie Guthrie will be serving as our full-time Assistant Principal this year. This will be Mrs. Guthrie's third year as assistant principal and her sixth year working for Bixby!
And now, the moment we've all been waiting for... it's time to introduce our fearless leader! This will be Mr. Boren's third year as the Central Intermediate principal. We're so thankful for his leadership and service to our school community!
Barb Colwell teaches special education at CI and we're so grateful she's on our awesome team!
Lesley Goodnight is our amazing school counselor! She joined us last winter
and has made a significant impact in a very short amount of time. We are so grateful that Ms. Goodnight is a part of our fantastic team!
Cara Pestel is a Speech/Language Pathologist who joined the CI team last winter. We're so glad she's a Spartan and part of our fantastic team!
Heather Guynes is a school psychologist and works at several Bixby school sites, but we like to think that CI is her favorite. We certainly are grateful that she's a part of our excellent CI team!
Molly McVay is a Title 1 Reading teacher at CI and we love having her as a part of our family!
Kim Kirk is one of our awesome Special Education teachers. We're so glad she's a part of our CI team!
Katie Windsheimer is also a Central Intermediate Special Education teacher and we are so grateful that she's a part of our CI family!
Brittany Hanley is new to CI and to Bixby and will be teaching Special Education. Welcome to the CI family, Ms. Hanley!
Kara Minton is new to CI and to Bixby. She will be teaching Art and we are thrilled that she is joining us. Welcome to CI, Ms. Minton!
