New Teacher spotlight today is Ms. Tiffany Shepherd! Ms. Shepherd attended Temple University and competed on their gymnastics team. She then went to Indiana State. She has a masters from OSU. This is her first year to teach and she is teaching Algebra and Geometry. “I am so excited to be working at Bixby, there is so much excitement and school spirit.” Welcome Ms. Shepherd to Bixby!!

Ms. Yeldell's students practiced the process of the scientific method using packages of skittles. Every group was responsible for figuring out which color is more common and if Skittles packages really do have the mass and quantity the company claims to have.




We are excited to announce Coach Tim Holt as one of our new Teachers. Coach Holt is teaching History for us at the 9GC. He has been married for 38 years, has 2 kids and 4 grandchildren. He has been in Education for 24 years. Welcome to Bixby Coach Holt!

New Teacher Spotlight for the day is Mrs. Annie Coffey! Annie comes to us from Northeast Infermediate and we are extremely lucky to have her here at the 9GC. Mrs. Coffey is teaching Algebra and Geometry as well as coaching Freshman Basketball. She is married and has 3 kids, her favorite thing to do is to attend sporting events and spend time with her family. Welcome to Bixby Mrs. Coffey!!!


Today’s new teacher spotlight is Trinity Snider. Mrs Snider is teaching Spanish for us this year. She has been teaching for 3 years, and She graduated from Texas Tech. She has been married for 10 years and has a 5 year old son. Trinity loves watching football, basketball and coloring with her son. We are lucky to have her here at the 9GC. Welcome Mrs. Snider to Bixby!

The 9GC welcomes Spencer Vandolah to our building! Spencer says “I’m thrilled to be a part of the 9GC crew and look forward to a great school year.” This is Spencer’s 10th year in education. In his spare time he enjoys going to concerts, watching sports, and spending time with his wife Libby and daughter Sloane. “I am several inches shorter than most of my 9th grade students, but what can you do”-Spencer! We are thrilled to have him on staff as well


Students in Mrs. Snider's Spanish I class learned basic body parts in Spanish. Then, they created a monster and described their monster in complete sentences.

Students in Mr. VanDolah's English classes represented themselves as unique and special individuals with their Individuali-sheet collages. It gave the students an opportunity to be creative and to get to know one another in the process.

Today in Ms. Nolan's class students illustrated four life events that they wrote about yesterday.
