Distance Learning Day: Tuesday, November 3rd

North Elementary Families,

Due to the upcoming Election Day, North Elementary students will have a Distance Learning Day on Tuesday, November 3rd. As you know, North Elementary is a polling place. Due to COVID-19 procedures, including the need for increased space to vote safely, as well as the possible health risks associated with visitors in our school building, BPS has determined that distance learning is in the best interest of all involved. North Intermediate will remain open; however, we encourage families to build in extra time for student drop-off due to anticipated traffic congestion.

The health and safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority. All spaces utilized for the election will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to students returning to school on Wednesday, November 4th.

Although this does pose an interruption to in-person learning, we are glad to serve as a partner in assisting our community as they engage in their civic duty. However, we are working alongside the election board, encouraging them to find an alternate location for future elections.

Our wonderful teachers will be communicating details with families related to the schedule and procedures for the day. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the North Elementary school office.

Thank you for your understanding,

Rob Miller

Superintendent
