We have kicked off our school wide Write a Check Fundraiser for West Intermediate!! Instead of anything to sell, we decided to ask our families simply to participate in this fundraiser to raise money for our school. Students can share the link, the QR Code, or the check writing information with friends and family in hopes of helping WI teachers purchase classroom materials (class sets of books, math manipulatives and activities, science lab equipment, and social studies activities), technology (a poster printer), and grade level field trips!! The fundraiser ends on September 9th.
Students who participate in the fundraiser will earn the following prizes:
Individual Prizes:
- $25 - Popsicle Party and shout out on the scrolling announcements
- $75 - Participation in a Donuts & Dance Party with Ms. Carr (plus Popsicle Party)
- $250 - Your family's name on a plaque displayed in the WI hallway (plus previous two)
- $500 - Three chances to dunk Mrs. Shaw or Mrs. Lawson in a dunk tank (plus previous three)
- $1000 - A special lunch and a limo with Mrs. Shaw and Mrs. Lawson (plus previous four)
School Wide Prizes:
- If we reach $5000 in donations, we have a school wide dance party with a DJ!
- If we reach $15,000, participating students will duct tape Mrs. Shaw to a cafeteria table and roll her through the hallways!
- If we meet our GOAL of $20,220, the teacher whose class raised the most money will go head to head against Mrs. Shaw and Mrs. Lawson in the Human Hamster Balls!
