Important Information

Parents,

Here is some very important information for the upcoming week!

  • State testing begins on Tuesday, May 3rd. We will begin each morning at 8:15, so students must be on time.  Testing will take place Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Testing ends on Friday, May 6th. It is VERY important that any appointments or interruptions to the school day be schedule either after school or after testing as well.
  • On Wednesday and Thursday, fifth and sixth grades will test both morning and afternoon. The testing calendar with exact days is below.
  • Special Education and EL students that have small group testing accommodations will test throughout the week as well.
  • Our window for testing ends after next week so tests may not be able to be made up if absences occur.
  • Please make sure your child is well rested and ready to test each day. Break times will be given throughout, but fifth graders especially will have a lot of testing, so their stamina is so important. Having a good night's rest and a good breakfast are vital for success.
  • We do not want our kids to stress about testing!! They've learned everything they need to be successful and all we ask of them is to do their best. If you want to give them a pep talk, the best thing to do is just encourage them to do their best.

Thank you so much for your help as we work through this next week. Testing is just a fact of life for our kids, so they are pretty used to it. They take them on the chromebook so not a lot of writing is involved by hand, but they do take a long time and can be exhausting for our kids. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you!
