So excited to announce our very first Bus Riders of the Month! These students were picked by their bus drivers for the month of February for being safe and respectful! Great job to these award winners! 🚌❤️💙

This week was all about celebrating some milestones! We celebrated 100, 101, and 102 days of growing and learning. 💙♥️

West Elementary is overjoyed to announce our Support Staff of the Year is Mrs. Melissa Chittenden! 👏🏻💖
She answers all the questions, fixes all of our ouchies, keeps everyone safe and truly does it all for the kids and staff of WE! Her heart is pure GOLD. 💛
We love you, Melissa! We appreciate you more than words could tell.

Thank you to our amazing School Resource Officers for collecting money for our Special Olympic Athletes to attend the games this spring! ♥️💙
We're so grateful for everyone who is contributing! One more day of the penny drive!
Also, if Officer Adcock happened to promise you first position in car line he was confused! 😂😜

Spread the word...West is looking for another paraprofessional to join our amazing team!

Yesterday we celebrated this fantastic group of students who demonstrated Integrity throughout the month of January!
Thank you for making our world so wonderful kiddos!! ♥️💙♥️💙

They're the BEST of the BEST! Let's show them love all week long. Have your kids draw a picture or write a note. You can even write one, too!
We LOVE Ms. Graham and Mrs. Katibeh!

Join us in supporting our Special Olympics Athletes! The penny drive will run all next week!

Global Play Day is this Wednesday, February 1st! Remember NO electronics or batteries!

Come help us spread the love at West Elementary! Mark your calendars for party times.
Remember you MUST have a government-issued ID or your transportation tag to enter the building!

3rd graders have been experiencing a fabulous field trip back in time to Rose Hill School! The weather has delayed Mrs. Hays and Ms. Robinson’s classes but they’re hoping to go next week. 🍎 🍏
What a fantastic learning opportunity for our students!
Dressed in period clothing and carrying makeshift syrup buckets containing their lunch, students participate in the living history program, "A Day at Rose Hill School." They pretend to travel back in time to become scholars attending one of Oklahoma's early one-room schools.
Greeted at the door by a stern-looking school marm, the students file into the classroom and take their seats. During the day, the scholars have exercises in cursive writing, cyphering (arithmetic) with slateboards and chalk, and reading from McGuffey's readers. Scholars also study history, geography, do chores, and play games.

Hello West,
My classroom will be starting a fundraiser this Thursday! We will be selling lip lollipops for $2 each. Money raised will help us to purchase more motor lab equipment. We have a link on my school bucks for parents to purchase but will also be taking cash. Lollipops will be sold from Jan.26th- Fab. 1st and then again from Feb. 11th- until they are gone.

Elementary students will be able to purchase them by bringing money to class. We will collect the money in the morning and deliver it at the end of the day.
The student will have the choice between sour and non-sour but not the flavor.
Thank you for your support,
Ms. Robinson
