Monday we celebrated this groups of CURIOUS learners. They were our Life Principle Award winners for the month of August. We celebrated them during our very first Rise and Shine of the year! We are so proud of them!

Thursday night West Elementary was proud to have 3 students attend the school board meeting to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. ❤️💙
2nd graders Jack and Cameryn along with PK student Bennett did a fabulous job! They’re pictured with Superintendent Miller and Board President Mr. Dotson.
We’re so proud of them! 👏🏻👏🏻

BHS Cheerleaders will be on site tomorrow to sell spirit wear items!

Just a reminder that picture day is tomorrow!

No School tomorrow in observance of Labor Day!

Picture day is coming!

Don't forget NO SCHOOL Thursday and Friday this week!!

There are not quite enough positive attributes to describe this phenomenal group of ladies in this picture! From greeting students first thing in the morning, helping in the PK/K classrooms all day, supervising lunch and recess, fixing every ouchie that comes along, to running car line in the afternoon these ladies DO IT ALL.
Ms. Whittington, Mrs. Nichols, Ms. Morgan, Mrs. Head, and Mrs. Ryan: we are so immensely grateful for each of you! We COULD NOT do it without you!
Thank you for making West Elementary a wonderful place to learn and grow!

Parents, please do NOT line up for dismissal before 2:15. We need to dismiss our PK families first. Also, it is two lines of cars in the loop beginning at 2:15. You may NOT drive up the middle of the lanes. Thank you for your cooperation.
Our Buddy Bench is the perfect spot to meet a new friend or take a break during recess!
Thank you, thank you to our amazing PTO who was able to purchase this bench for our school. We could not have made this happen without their support. 🤩
Our kids love finding a new friend to include! ❤️💙

🚨 Pro Tip! 🚨 We want our 1-3rd graders to memorize their student ID numbers. Is your child struggling? Change the password on his or her device/tablet to their student ID number! They’ll master it in no time! 👏🏻
(Idea courtesy of our own Mrs. Hughes🤩)

We built a lot of new friendships this week and made some progress on our expansion, too!

Spartans, we are having a wonderful first week! Just a reminder, tomorrow 8/19 is NOT an early release day. Early release will begin on Friday, 8/26.

Join us for parent orientation on Monday, August 22nd at 5:30! Questions? Email your classroom teacher!

Reminder: Tomorrow (Friday) is NOT an early release day. We dismiss at 2:55 for K-3.
The back-to-school excitement is building and tomorrow is our FIRST DAY!
To celebrate the first day of school, BPS encourages parents, students, teachers and staff to use the hashtag #okfirstday and tag us @ Bixby Public Schools so we can share in your back-to-school excitement!
We can’t wait to have all of our Spartans back in our classrooms!
Learn Well. Live with Honor. Go Spartans!

🚨 Pro Tip: Our parking lot can be a little confusing to first timers! Come drive the loops before the masses so you have a better idea of how it works. 🚨
Enter the car loop by the marquee! Make sure to read the signs. 🤩

Joining the West Elementary family this year as an Instructional Coach is Mrs. Megan Hill! Megan has been a part of Bixby Public Schools throughout her entire teaching career.
This will be Megan's first year as an Instructional Coach and her 8th year in education. Mrs. Hill spent the last 7 years teaching 1st Grade at East Elementary.
Mrs. Hill has been married to her high school sweetheart, CJ, for 6 years. They love traveling to new places, going to the lake, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on our OSU Cowboys! GO POKES! Mrs. Hill is looking forward to the new school year and joining the West family! It's always a great day to be a Spartan! ❤💙
