Important Update!

August 5, 2021

Dear West Families,

I am hopeful that you were able to read Mr. Miller’s update in regards to Meet the Teacher, visitors in the building, and the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. If you have not read that, please take a moment to read that here.

SUPPLY DROP OFF/TRANSPORTATION TAG PICK UP

In order to make things run as smoothly as possible on the first day of school, we will have two opportunities for school supply drop off, medication drop off, and transportation tag pick up. It is VERY important that families pick up their transportation tags and put them on student backpacks before the first day of school. These are VITAL to helping our arrival/dismissal processes run smoothly.

  • Parents need to have supplies labeled with their child's first and last name.

  • Please stay in your car and pull through the car loop

  • Drop Off times are:

    • Thursday, August 12th from 7:30-9:30 AM

    • Friday, August 13th from 1-3 PM

MEET THE TEACHER

On Thursday, August 12th at approximately 3:30 PM, you will receive an email from each of your children's teachers. This email will have all of the Meet the Teacher information for that classroom teacher.

BUILDING WALK THROUGH

Also on Thursday, August 12th we will be opening our building doors from 4-6 PM for families to walk the building. Teachers and staff will NOT be present. You will not have access to classrooms. However, we hope that you are able to walk the building with your child and get excited about the upcoming school year! Please do not bring school supplies at this time. There will not be staff in attendance to manage this.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

On the first day of school, parents will not be able to walk their children into the building for school. Please stay in your car or on the trail. Teachers and staff will be outside and inside the building escorting students to class!

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions! More Information will be coming in the days ahead. We can’t wait to start another wonderful school year!

Best,

Libby McNamara
