West Elementary & Intermediate Families,
Due to circumstances related to COVID-19 cases in the Bixby community and the subsequent impact relative to staff shortage, Bixby West Elementary and Intermediate will be entering into Distance Learning Thursday 11/19-Friday 11/20. At this time, we anticipate students will return to in-person instruction on Monday, 11/30 following Thanksgiving Break. However, we will continue to monitor conditions closely.
The schedule for distance learning will mirror what was done earlier in the semester. Students who have been previously approved and issued a chromebook for distance learning will be sent home with their devices today. Parents of students approved for a chromebook who are currently in isolation/quarantine at home may pick up chromebooks before 4PM today or tomorrow between 8AM and 4PM.
Families who wish to take advantage of our free breakfast and lunch service can pick up meals at North Elementary School or Bixby 9th Grade Center from 8:45 to 10:15 AM. each day during this distance learning period.
Student medications held in the school nurse's office may be picked up by the parent or guardian if needed during the distance learning period. Please call the school during regular school hours to make arrangements. A picture ID will be required to pick up medication.
Your child’s teacher will be sending a follow-up email with details on Distance Learning schedule, etc.
