Bixby Schools is thrilled to have forged an ongoing partnership with Glenpool High School and Tulsa Technology Center to provide an added program for students entering grades 9-12.

Beginning in the fall of 2021, students can enroll in Foundations of Manufacturing, a jumpstart into advanced manufacturing courses that can lead to a high-paying career! This is a course hosted at Glenpool but facilitated by Tulsa Tech.

Summary of Course:

Available to students in grades 9-12
Students will travel or be transported to Glenpool HS for this course
Explore all areas of manufacturing and discover the many opportunities available
Design, weld, and program machines to produce a variety of manufacturing components
Safety and tool usage
Basic blueprint reading
Study of machining and fabrication methods using sheet metal and composite materials
Go from initial design and set up to a finished product

Students who are interested in enrolling should contact their school counselor by May 21st to ensure enrollment for the 21-22 school year.
