Good evening, CI families. I wanted to send a quick update about our latest fundraiser, ColorFest (like a ColorRun, but better!). We did a series of short kick-offs throughout the day today to introduce ColorFest, explain how awesome it will be, and how we'll raise money for our school. Here is a copy of the parent letter that went home with your student. Here's what to expect!
First is the event itself - ColorFest is on Friday, September 23rd. We'll do a Color Run with inflatables, games, music, concessions, and more. Everything will be color themed! Everyone will get to participate in ColorFest. All students should purchase a ColorFest Student Starter Kit* from PTO, linked here. This will get them a t-shirt, sunglasses, and a pouch of color powder. Contact their homeroom teacher if a family needs help with the Starter Kit. If you'd like to donate a little extra to help sponsor another family, that would be great too! Again, everyone will get to participate in ColorFest!
Next is the fundraising piece. We are asking students to find sponsors for ColorFest. Sponsors will donate money to support your child's portion of ColorFest. Any donation amount is welcome! To encourage and motivate students, we created a prize program. Here's the breakdown:
- Raise $10, and you'll get a donut party!
- Raise $50, and you'll get a donut party and a pizza party!
- Raise $100, and you'll get a donut party, a pizza party, and a mobile game truck party!
- Raise $250, and you'll get a donut party, a pizza party, a mobile game truck party, and we'll rent a limo and take your child to lunch!
We also created some contests! The homeroom class for each grade that raises the most will get a playground popcorn party! The top 3 earners will get to throw a pie in the faces of Coach Quigley, Mrs. Guthrie, and Mr. Boren! And finally, if we reach our goal of $7,500, the principals (Mrs. Guthrie and Mr. Boren) will kiss a pig!
Cash and checks (payable to Bixby Central Intermediate) are accepted. Sponsors can also donate online at bit.ly/cicolorfest. Be sure to include the student's name in the donation form!
