Can you believe it....... this Friday May 8th starts our 10 day countdown! Here is the line up for what is going on.

#MeetusMonday at CE and Mrs. Engles 3rd grade class got to meet, via zoom, famed author Dav Pilkey. Dav Pilkey is a renowned American children's author and illustrator best known for the worldwide bestselling Captain Underpants series and Dog Man graphic novels. His books have sold millions of copies worldwide and are credited with encouraging reading among children. This was a real treat for the kids!

We just wanted to say THANK YOU to all the BEST volunteers that came in today to help out in out classrooms. We are grateful for each and every one of you. You are truly one of the reason that Central Elementary if the HEART of Bixby!

3rd grade parents.... tomorrow is the deadline to order your Clap Out shirts. Order will close at noon.

Library books are due. Please find any lost books and return them as soon as possible.

Friday May 1st is an early release day. The kids get out at 1:55.

#ThankyouThursday at CE and Mrs. Spain and Ms. Eddings first grade classes would like to give a big shout out to the high school FCS ( family consumer science) class who brought their monster drawings to life! The kids absolutely loved collaborating with the "big" kids on this project.

#What'supWednesday at CE and Mrs. Welborn turned her classroom in the Central Perk coffee shop for 1st grade poetry reading. Thanks to the parents who came an listened to all the great poems.

If you are BEST trained and would like to help on the playground tomorrow. Please let Mrs. Kerri know. Come prepared to have fun! 11:00-1:00

#teamworkTuesday at CE and just look at this mystery reader in Mrs. Martins class. It was their very own Denver. This is another example of CE pre-k teachers working together to educate our littles to be successful for kinder next year.

3rd grade is continuing their food drive for the summer. Please send in donations with your child or through the office to help out our CE friends throughout the summer months.

Thursday May 21st is the last day of school and ICE CREAM TRUCK DAY!!!!! Please send in your $1.00 by May 15th.

You all have made us feel so loved! Thanks for all the notes, gifts, lunches and hugs! We are so grateful and lucky to get to come to CE with all of you everyday!

#ThankyouThursday at CE and we would like to thank the Rolling Thunder Book Bus. The First Grade at CE Thundered Up for reading!!!!!  The Thunder Book Bus made a visit at Central to promote the love of reading with our First Grade Classes!!!   The classes learned the importance of reading and all the fun adventures books can offer.  The students received a free book and fun bookmark!!!   

We are looking for a kinder para. Must be fun, energetic and crazy about kids! We would love to have you!
