Congratulations to Bixby Public Schools December Educator of the Month, Jessie Morgan, sixth grade ELA teacher from East Intermediate! Ms. Morgan is an innovative teacher, has a positive attitude that is refreshing, serves as an asset to her school, and is willing to help out in any way she can. She is constantly striving to make her lessons relevant and interesting. She has created numerous grant requests to procure new novel sets for her classes. Ms. Morgan has built units around these new novel sets for her classes. Jessie is accommodating for her students with special needs, whether that means modified curriculum or schedule changes. Jessie volunteers for committees and projects that benefit both students and her colleagues. She is very approachable and willing to brainstorm ideas and solutions to problems. She has shared and taught colleagues using a new site (with all ELA teachers in the building) to give them a digital resource to reinforce grammar concepts. Jessie is one of the most adaptable teachers, such a team player and loved by many!
