Congratulations to Bixby Public Schools November Educator of the Month, Keighley Sallee, the middle school science department head. Ms. Sallee represents the Middle School Science department with a true “scientist’s heart” and the innovation our District’s strategic focus requires for the future. As our science team lead, Keighley has helped several new teachers in the department understand the expectations and best practices to help them succeed. She has led with grace and positive motivation through a time window where we experienced teacher shortages as well as overcoming not having required science materials available until after the start of school. Although she spends time managing new materials as they arrive and helping teachers improve their content delivery, she maintains an innovative spirit. Keighley also manages to find time to tutor science and math after school! This has been a difficult year. Throughout that time, Ms. Sallee offers her positive impact mindset through her actions every day in the classroom and her leadership throughout the school.
