Spartan families,
With the 6A-II State Championship football game scheduled for this Thursday evening in Edmond, we have made the decision to move students in grades 9-12 to distance learning for Friday, December 3rd. The scheduling of this game, combined with the travel time to and from Edmond, will result in a very late night for many high school students, coaches, and teachers. By providing students with extra time to sleep, students can complete their assignments from home while being encouraged to travel more safely after the game.
Additionally, this helps us to be proactive in anticipation of higher-than-normal staff and student absences and plan accordingly for substitute coverage across the district.
Students in grades 9-12 should follow their regular class schedule, tuning in for Google Meets at the start of each class period. All assignments will be posted via Canvas. BHS staff will report to campus Friday morning and be available for students during their assigned class period.
All other grades and school sites will remain in-person for a regular (early release) instructional day.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you at the game! Go Spartans!
