Congratulations to Phyllis Ferguson, Bixby Public School's January Employee of the Month!!
Phyllis has been with the district for many years and always has such a positive outlook and a desire to do the best job possible. Kids always come first for her, and she has such an enjoyable personality that draws them in. This year however, she has gone above and beyond. Every morning this school year, she pushes out a cart with student breakfasts and lunches to the curb in front of the 9th Grade Center. She is then outside in the elements for several hours handing the breakfast and lunch sacks to parents driving by. The extraordinary thing is how positive Phyllis is. That smile! It doesn’t matter the weather; she greets the parents and students with love. She even has an umbrella she attaches to the cart if it’s raining, plus she puts on her husband’s coveralls on the really cold days. She never complains! Phyllis is truly one of a kind!
