Distance Learning Details for 2/9-2/11

2/9 Update:

Spartan families,

As mentioned in Supt. Miller’s phone call, BPS will remain in distance learning district-wide through Thursday 2/11 for several reasons including:

  • Inclement weather forecast

  • Shortage of qualified substitute teachers due to isolations and quarantines AND

    • Staff members unable to make it to school safely

    • Staff members lacking childcare due to daycare closures

Students in grades PK-6 should have received information already relative to Brick to Click plans for today, Tuesday 2/9. School sites will be communicating details with families preapproved for  a Chromebook outlining pick-up times, etc. All PK-6 grade students will be participating in distance learning on Wednesday 2/10 and Thursday 2/11 as all necessary technology will have been distributed.

Students in grades 7-12 should continue to follow their regular distance learning schedule through Thursday 2/11.

Remember, there is no school on Friday 2/12 (Staff Professional Development) or Monday 2/15 (President’s Day). We will see everyone back in-person on Tuesday 2/16.

Please reach out to your school principal via email should you have any questions or concerns as all school sites will be closed through Thursday 2/11.
