  • Google classroom is a learning management system providing a digital platform for teachers to engage with students and maintain communication.

  • To login to Google Classroom, students may access via Clever.

Chromebook Requests for Distance Learning

  • District platforms (Google Classroom & Clever) are web-based and can be accessed from a multitude of devices. iPads, traditional lap tops, etc. will all suffice. We ask that only families truly in need of a Chromebook during distance learning complete the paperwork.

  • A 1:1 learning environment refers to the provision of a digital learning device for students academic use at school and off campus. All Bixby 7th-12th graders are provided a Chromebook for school use. For more information regarding our Internet filter that protects devices whether in use on or off campus, click HERE.

  • Students will access all classroom information for secondary classes from CANVAS.

  • Online textbooks that are not accessible via Clever may be accessed via Canvas.

  • Students on a school Chromebook will be automatically logged into Canvas with their Bixby Google Credentials.

  • Parents can access additional information about Canvas, including how to create a Canvas Parent Account, by clicking the link below.

  • All BPS students have a Google for Education Account. This includes access to Gmail (to email teachers only), Google Classroom, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

  • To login, students will enter their school Google credentials: Username: [last name][first initial][last 2 digits of student number]@bixbyk12.org Password: bps[student number]

  • Teachers and students may utilize Google Meet in order to hold classroom sessions remotely. Students will need to be signed into their Bixby Google accounts.

  • To join a Google Meet, students will type in their teachers’ meeting “nickname” or use the link, which will be provided by the teacher.

  • PowerSchool is Bixby Public School’s student information system.

  • PK-6 All students’ attendance and grades will be stored in PowerSchool

  • 7-12 All students’ attendance records will be stored in PowerSchool. (Grades will be stored in Canvas.)

  • Parent and Student User IDs and Passwords are case sensitive.

GoGuardian Internet Safety

  • GoGuardian Parent is an app that allows families to monitor their children’s internet access and customize use outside of school hours. Features include the ability to pause children's internet, block specific websites, and schedule internet availability on managed devices.
