Make a Wish!

BHS Student Activities are coordinating a collective effort to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation! Let's all help kids' wishes become a reality. There are currently 200 kids in Oklahoma waiting for wishes and SIX of those are right here in Bixby. Our goal is to raise $45,000 by May to help grant some wishes!

Today, February 26th, we brought in over $700! That is a great start!

Please share this link far and wide and let's make big Spartan impact on this amazing cause!

Below is a message from BHS Student, Connor Wilson:

Everyone,

Bixby High School is celebrating Make-A-Wish during D.U.D.E. Month (our philanthropy month which stands for Doing Unselfish Deeds Every Day).  Our school will have a month jam-packed with fundraising and awareness activities to raise funds to grant the wishes of children living with critical illnesses.  We have recently learned that we have 6 Wish Kids living right here in Bixby and we are dedicated to help get their wishes funded.  You can donate by visiting the Bixby High School Make-A-Wish page at:

http://site.wish.org/goto/BixbyHighSchoolWish.

This year Make-A-Wish Oklahoma celebrates 37 years of granting wishes to children ages 2 ½ -18 years of age, living in Oklahoma with a critical illness.  Right now, they have 302 kids waiting for their wish to be granted and we know we can help.  It is our goal to raise $45,000 during our philanthropy month, the equivalent of 6 wishes.

The Make-A-Wish mission helps kids and their families during a painful and scary time, and we know that our school can make a difference in their lives by raising money to support their wish.  Make-A-Wish not only gives hope to Oklahoma’s children who need it most, their work uplifts the families and the communities in which they live.  The impact of a wish is felt by not just the wish child, but their family as they see their child replace worry and anxiety with joy and hope.  It also impacts the community as they witness a hurting family smile again as they celebrate a wish being granted.  We want to rally around these brave wish kids and their families, so they not only feel loved, but also supported during a very uncertain and scary time.  We hope you will consider supporting us in our campaign to raise funding for these deserving children.

Additionally, we ask that you help spread the word about our project by posting information and the donation link on your social media accounts.

Thank you,
Connor Wilson
