Hello CI Families. As the District released earlier this week, we are asking for parents to drive through next week, May 11 - 15, from 10:00 to 1:00 pm daily, to drop off any library books or textbooks your child may have at home that need to be checked back in. The textbooks that should be returned are only hardback textbooks, not workbooks. If a child has a book checked out from a teacher's personal library, that should be be turned in as well.

If your child has lost a library book or a textbook, it will have to be paid for through your child's My School Bucks account. Because we are trying to minimize contact, we cannot offer receipts, give change, and because some people are still working remotely, depositing checks is difficult. If you have any additional questions or need to know amounts, please call our office or email Mrs. Shaw.

Our process for drop off will be for parents to drive through following our regular drop off/pick up route, which is to come on to 161st from Mingo, pull into the gravel drive, and drive up to the building, pulling around as far as possible. Once you're in the parking lot, we will have two gym doors propped open - one will be the entrance and the other the exit. Please walk through, drop off books in the gym on the appropriate tables, and exit through the appropriate door. We want to limit any contact, so we ask that you honor social distancing guidelines, and we also ask that you wear a mask. This will be the ONLY procedure during this week. We will not be handing out student belongings until the following week and we will be unable to make any exceptions.

Finally, for any of our families with students who are immuno-compromised or live in households with vulnerable individuals, we will make special accommodations for you to drop off and pick up any necessary items. Please email Mrs. Shaw directly (bshaw@bixbyps.org) or call our front office and speak with LeAnn. It is our goal to keep everyone safe and healthy throughout this process and to follow CDC guidelines.

Further details on procedures for picking up student items the week of May 18th will be released later next week. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you and please be safe.
