FCCLA sponsored OBI Blood Drive on Feb. 13th. Sign-ups will be Feb. 10th-12th in the commons during lunch or in Mrs. Stuff's room W-21.

Senior Song Audition Sign-up
Senior Song Auditions sign-up in the principal's office. Sign-up starts January 30 through February 18th. Auditions are February 20th in the Choir room. Your song should be no longer than 5 minutes . Bring with you to the audition a recording of your music. If you need help with your song selection see Mr. Pearson.

Gap and Gown pictures, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm Whitey Ford Gym Lobby, with the group picture taken @ 12:30 pm in the Whitey Ford Gym.
After February 5th, the pricing on the Unit Package will increase by $10.00 and any graduation item will increase by $10.00

DRESS ATTIRE FOR PICTURES AND ALSO FOR THE GRADUATION CEREMONY ON MAY 7th
Boys: Slacks (no jeans), Collared shirt with a tie or bow tie, dress shoes or nice boots. NO FLIP FLOPS or TENNIS SHOES
Girls, Dresses or slacks (no jeans) nice top (no t-shirt), sandals are ok, dress shoes open or closed toe are ok. NO FLIP FLOPS or TENNIS SHOES.

Please see Tama Davis or any faculty/staff member and they will get the information to Mrs. Davis to help with clothing attire.

Spring Dates for Your Planning
Feb. 11th - High School PreEnrollment Presentations - Soph. & Jr history classes in auditorium each hour.
Feb. 12th - Core subject teachers will take the first 10 minutes of each period to initial each student's selection in that subject on their pre-enrollment forms. If you do not agree with a selection, you may write a note on the form for parents and counselors to see & discuss with the student.
Feb. 18 - March 6th - Counselors will meet with individual students for pre-enrollment through English classes
April 8th - Virtual Day for all 9th, 10th and 12th graders
April 8th - State ACT test date for ALL juniors

Scholarship Information
The B.E.E.F. (Bixby Educational Endowment Foundation) Scholarships Application is now available on the District website. All students should check out the scholarships available! There are many different types of scholarships, not just those for the 3.5+ GPA or the four-year college student. Students can apply for multiple scholarships with one application, however, they can only be awarded one scholarship from B.E.E.F. The deadline to apply is 1:00pm on Friday, March 6, 2020. The Fire Marshal's Association of Oklahoma, in an endeavor to support technical training in fire prevention and related fields, is offering a $500.00 scholarship(s) to graduating high school seniors enrolling and/or is currently enrolled, in an approved fire prevention curriculum. Deadline of March 31st. The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) has several scholarship opportunities for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Check out their scholarships at https://www.aises.org/students/scholarships.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund is the nation’s leading provider of scholarships and services designed to give Latino students full access to the opportunity a college education can provide. Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000. Phase I of the HSF Scholarship Application is now open! Your Tulsa area Jiffy Lube owners are offering one $4,000 scholarship award and two $1,000 scholarship awards to 3 local high school students – students simply have to write about “What Drives You?” – no grade point or test score requirements! The Optimist Club of Bixby is encouraging area students to contemplate the phrase “Is Optimism the Key to Achieving the Dreams you iMagine” as part of the Optimist International Essay Contest for the 2019-2020 school year. The Optimist Club will judge the local students’ essays, based on the theme of “Is Optimism the Key to Achieving the Dreams you iMagine” and determine the top winners. Winners will receive awards of $100, $75, or $50 for the top three essays, and the winning essay will be sent to the district level where a $2500 college scholarship is available for the top winner. Indian Ed Tutoring
Indian Ed students - Indian Ed tutor Monday and Wednesday from 7:45am to 9:30am and each of the lunch periods as needed. Can stay after school any day as long as an appointment is made. See Mr. Hunter or Mrs. Francis with questions.

The first round of co-ed shirts are in (if you ordered before 8-28). You can pick them up in Mrs. Rodgers room, S-105.

Student Reminder on Parking
There is no student parking in HOTS parking lot from 7:30am-4:30pm. Thank you!

From the Assistant Principal's Office
Parking permits can be purchased for $20 in the Assistant Principal's Office. You must pay for your drug test online ($15) before you can purchase a permit. See Mrs. Dees with any questions.
