Purpose: Establish a culture of learning communities to improve student achievement through embedded research-based practices.
How the Work is Done:
- The District Professional Development Leadership Team (consisting of administrators and teachers) identifies the common norms and premises after which the skills, processes, and contexts that are needed are identified and taught.
- Site decisions are made based upon needs that align with developed norms and premises utilizing all related stakeholders, data and resources,.
- A cyclical process is employed. Communication flows from the site level back to the professional development leadership team. Feedback is shared and checked against norms and premises. Reports are made utilizing site visits, presentations, and observations to ensure accountability.
