Daily Take Home Folder / Weekly Folder In order to keep you informed, I will send home notes through your child or I will give you a call. Calls don't always indicate something is wrong in the classroom. You can expect to see your child's graded work every week. Your child's work will be in a two pocket folder that is labeled with a day of the week. On the left side, you will find a sheet to sign acknowledging that you have seen your child's weekly work. On the right side, you will find your child's work that was graded and recorded in the grade book. You may keep the work and have your child return his/her folder the following day. Daily papers that we complete in class together will be marked "together in class" (TIC). These will not be recorded in the grade book.
Work Policy Unfinished work will become homework unless time has been allotted the next day for completion. Missing assignments receive a "0" in the grade book. Work that receives below a 60% may be corrected and returned in a timely manner. It must include a parent's signature indicating that it has been reviewed and corrected with parental involvement. Tests may not be redone. Make-up work will follow school policy. |
