Thank you for your interest in your child's counselor.  This year will mark my third year serving as school counselor for Bixby Public Schools.  I have worked as a professional educator at the elementary level for eight years:  three years teaching regular education, four years teaching special education, and two years serving as school counselor.  

In June of 1986 I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.  I was employed as a property tax representative at a small Tulsa firm for eight years.  

In May of 1997 I received my degree from Northeastern State University in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education.  I worked for Jenks Public Schools for seven years as a regular and special educator.  

In May of 2004 I received my M.Ed in school counseling from Northeastern State University and promptly made a move to Bixby where I began my career as a school counselor, working at both North and Central Elementary Schools.

I have an eight year old daughter named Gianna and a one year old beagle named Brownie Sue.  My daughter and I enjoy reading, watching movies and eating popcorn, horseback riding, yoga, riding bicycles, and swimming.  Brownie Sue enjoys chasing tennis balls and chew toys, taking showers under the backyard faucet, trampling gardens and flower beds, and chewing plants and trees.

I am blessed to have such a wonderful family at home and at North Elementary!
