Writing/SpellingStudents will have a list of words each week that they will be tested over on Fridays. I will post each week's list under the Spelling words link. The students are in full swing of the writing process. This week they have learned to cluster, outline, and write in paragraph form. Class work: writing essays, journals, test
MATHClasses will be starting Ch. 3 Multiplication. **Please parents be helping your child learn their multiplication facts. It will be very difficult to complete the assignments without this knowledge. Reminder: If your child misses school, they need to remind the teachers when they return so that they will get their make-up work. There are a few who do not ask for make-up work and are receiving zeros. Students need to attend school 85% of the time. This is about 10 days missed. To be an excused absence, you will need a written notice from the doctor. Could you remind your student they need to put their names on the papers they turn in to me. Also, students need to turn their work in on time. If they take it home for homework, they need to turn it in upon arrival to class. Students need to also return work from when they are absent.
*Each day we begin class writing our assignments in our planners and doing a Problem of the Day. We will be doing Math grids to help your child improve on their multiplication facts. It is very important that your child know his or her multiplication facts. Please work with your child so that he or she becomes an expert working with them.
