Hi! Welcome to my web site! I LOVE teaching and am thrilled to be your child's teacher. There are lots of exciting new things to be learned in the upcoming year, and I look forward to getting to know your child and working together. I'm a product of Bixby Public Schools. As a matter of fact, I attended 6th grade in this very building! After graduating from BHS in 1979, I attended Oklahoma State University and received my Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1983. I hold an Oklahoma Teaching certificate in grades kindergarten thru 8th grade. I began teaching in Bixby in 1983 and taught for 8 years. I was fortunate enough to be able to take a leave from teaching to spend time with my children while they were young. In 1995, I returned to Bixby Public Schools and have been here ever since.
My husband, John, and I have two children, Johnny and Katie, who attend Bixby
Schools. Both of my children are active in sports and I love watching them
compete. I enjoy snow skiing, golf, and water gardening. I am an devoted OSU fan! (Go Pokes!)
It is my goal to make sure that your child has a super learning experience in our classroom and is given the chance to develop good study habits, respect for others, and a good self-concept. Your child will look back on this year as the year he/she made life-long friendships and developed a deeper passion for learning.
