Clinic Expectations

Students will be expected to enter the nurses office quietly and to be seated until their needs can be addressed. Under most circumstances they should have a pass from their teacher.

Students will be responsible for contacting parents from the nurse's office when possible. We will be working on dialing the phone and leaving a message if a parent cannot be reached.

Students will also be developing the skills to describe their needs regarding health issues. For example asking for medication or describing symptoms of illness to their parents.

About Me

My name is Tama Clark and I have been an RN for 31 years. My focus through the years has mainly been in Pediatrics with a 5 year stint teaching nursing students. I was a school nurse in the Blue Valley District in Overland Park, KS before relocating to Bixby in 2001.

My goal with the students in our building is to help foster personal responsibility for issues involving their health. Working as a team with parents, teachers and students will promote a healthy environment in which to learn.

If I can assist your family in the school setting with any health issues your student may be experiencing- please do not hesitate to contact me. I will respond to emails within 24-48 hrs. If you need to speak with me directly, my office number is 366-1807.

It's a pleasure to serve our students and to watch them grow!!
