Media Center Info

Students in grades 1-3 may check out two books at a time. Books are due in two weeks. The library media center is open throughout the day for check-out.

Kindergarten students are scheduled once a week to visit the library media center for check out and story time. Kindergarten students check out one book at a time.

Students in grades 1-3 also come to the media center with their class to explore the world through books and technology. We learn to locate, analyze, evaluate, interpret, and communicate information and ideas.

I promote a love of reading and of books by reading to students, through book talks, author studies, and other activities.

Classroom Expectations

Students are expected to follow the same rules that apply in their classroom. Students are expected to be good listeners and to respect the rights of others. I tell students that when they are in class with me it is just like being in class with their teacher.
