Help us welcome Ms. Swanson to the 9GC. Hello, Mighty Spartans! I've been teaching English Learners for more than ten years in Minnesota and recently moved here to Oklahoma. Exploring other cultures and learning languages began when I was young and when I was a senior in high school, I was a Rotary Exchange student to Sweden for a year. With the implementation of the Say Something program, students worked to create unity and encourage kindness. Wednesday was neon day to “brighten” up our school. Students wore hats on Thursday because there is no “cap” on kindness. Friday teachers and students stood together wearing green and white to honor the victims of Sandy Hook on the sixth anniversary of the shooting. The Sandy Hook Promise operates the Say Something program.
