Are you interested in assisting teachers, students, and staff and sharing your talents and skills in the school or classroom on a regular basis--weekly, bi-weekly, monthly? This training is for you! Familiarize yourself with school policy, safety plans, volunteer guidelines, classroom management strategies, confidentiality issues, and daily procedures to follow when volunteering. When? Several trainings will be offered, but we recommend you attend one of the initial trainings (8/10 or 9/8) since attendance is mandatory prior to volunteering.

If you are interested in the Watch D.O.G.S. program, the following are dates/times for Watch D.O.G.S./BEST volunteer training for the 2010 - 2011 school year:
- North Elementary: September 9, 6:00 p.m.
- North 4/5/6: August 31, 6:00 p.m.
- Brassfield 5/6: August 17, 7:00 p.m.
- Central Elementary: TBD
- Middle School: August 23, 7:00 p.m. following parent orientation
This training is required of regular volunteers and is good for 3 years!
