I do have a personal life in addition to my professional life. I've been married to Scott Wilson for 21 years, and we have a daughter named Annie. She is a student at Bixby High School, and has a passion for riding horses.

And while I feel very lucky to do what I love - working with children in school - my family is still my greatest blessing. We are quite lucky that our extended families live near us, since they are very important to us, too.

My professional life in education started while I was still in high school and volunteered to work with students with disabilities. Since that time, it was my passion! I attended Oklahoma State University for my undergraduate degree in Special Education. Later, I attended Northeastern State University to complete additional certification. And most recently, I attended Southern Nazarene University in Tulsa to acquire my Master's degree in Educational Leadership...thus allowing me to pursue a position in administration.

I started at Bixby High School as a special education teacher, which I did for 8 years. Then I moved into the position of SafeTeam Coordinator, which I did for a couple of years. Afterwards, I believed an administrator needed to think like a SafeTeam coordinator, and worked as an assistant principal at the HS for 4 years.

Two years ago, I served as principal at Brassfield...and I now happily serve in my second year as the principal at Central Elementary. While it is quite a road that brought me here - I would not change one part of the path!
