During the week of September 23-27 students at Central Intermediate will be participating in “Start with Hello”. Start with Hello is a prevention program that teaches children and teens how to be more socially inclusive and connected to each other. Start With Hello asks students, educators, parents and other community leaders who interact with children to take steps in class, the lunchroom and/or other times in their day to be inclusive and connected.
As part of our week we will have a theme each day:
Monday: No One Eats Alone Day: Students sit by random draw in the cafeteria. Conversation starters will be on the table.
Tuesday: Hey “Yello” day: Everyone wear yellow and say “YELLO” to each other. Each student will also get a nametag!
Wednesday: Reach Out Scavenger Hunt : A “Get to Know” you scavenger hunt will take place throughout the day. Turn your form in for a chance to win a prize!
Thursday: Get to Know Me Day: Wear a shirt that represents something that interests you.
Friday: Mixed Grade Social: Grade levels will mix it up at Spartan Wrap Up!
