Hello CI Families! Happy Sunday! We have three important reminders for this week. First, our fundraiser ends this Friday, September 20th.All money and orders are due in at this time. We truly appreciate your participation. We have another fundraiser coming up November 1st. It's the first time we will have done this type of thing, and it is going to be so much fun for the kids. I know the fundraising part of school is not so much fun for parents, but in these times they are truly necessary for schools. In an upcoming CI Star Newsletter that will go out this week, I will explain the fundraisers and what the money will be utilized for in more detail. Trust that every dollar we raise directly benefits our students.
Second, a quick note on car lines. We are doing much better and we are finishing by 8:00 each morning. Some mornings might be 8:01 or 8:02, but we are improving each day! We did have a neighborhood complaint though. Some people are parking in the driveway and ditch of the house across from the building, as well as others who are turning around in yards or driveways of other houses. Please be mindful of those who live across from us. That isn't our property and we want to be good neighbors. It's also very unsafe for kids to walk across the street to the school. Further, we still have those insisting on pulling in our back lot for drop off/pick up. This is not an area approved for this and we have asked our SROs to begin ticketing those who refuse to follow procedures. Please help us in this area.
Finally, Donuts with Grownups for our fourth graders is this Friday morning from 7:15 to 8:00 in the cafeteria. Each student is welcome to bring two guests, and we ask that only the fourth graders participate. We are planning two other events for our other grades later this year.
